ClearLine Golf Schools
If it was fixable in one lesson, you’d be fixed by now.
Small group, high-level instruction. Launching in Phoenix / Scottsdale.

CLEARLINE GOLF SCHOOLS
ClearLine 2-Day Golf Schools are designed to change that.
Over two focused days, we break down your swing patterns, scoring habits, and decision-making so you can clearly see where strokes are being lost — and what it will take to fix them.
This isn’t a tune-up.
It’s a structured deep dive into your game built for players who want to understand their patterns, confront their gaps, and take control of their performance.
Through targeted training, performance simulations, and on-course work, we identify the root causes behind performance issues and give you a clear plan to improve — with purposeful reps instead of guesswork.
Small-group training. High-level attention.

The Coaches Behind ClearLine
Built by coaches who develop players that actually perform.

John Riley
Director of Instruction
We don’t coach players into a mold. We coach players into results.
John’s “method” is simple — “We don’t coach players into a mold. We coach them into results. We discover what works best for you, then train you to get results with it.”
With over 20 years leading competitive player development programs at the individual and team level, John’s approach is rooted in developing golfers to be technically sound, mentally ready, and performance driven. His experience includes time working at premier facilities such as Pebble Beach and Aldarra Golf Club, two of the top golf environments in the country.
He’s built a strong reputation for developing players through structured, on-course-focused training that connects practice to real scoring outcomes. For John, closing the gap between practice and performance is what it’s all about.

Jacob Riley
Lead Instructor
Jacob grew up around competitive golf, helping lead his high school team to a state championship while learning the coaching side early. His approach was shaped under his dad’s guidance (ClearLine Director of Instruction John Riley) and PGA Master Professional Joe Thiel.
Along the way, he’s stacked up extensive experience working with players of all ages and skill levels, developing a clear, no-nonsense approach—he sees what others miss, simplifies the fix, and builds training that actually holds up on the course.

Shane Dews
Lead Instructor
Shane brings over 20 years of coaching and competitive golf experience across multiple environments. His time around high-level players and coaches—including Butch Harmon—shaped a clear understanding of what actually translates to performance for his students.
Along the way, he’s worked with players of all ages and skill levels, developing a direct, results-based approach—he identifies what’s off, simplifies the fix, and gives players a clear path to better scores.
